Mannerheimin Lastensuojeluliitto, or Mannerheim League for Child Welfare in English (MLL for short), is a non government organisation that promotes the wellbeing of children within Finland. With over 75,000 members and over 500 local associations it is the largest child welfare organisation in the country.
The MLL website, along with its sister site Nuortennetti (Opens in new window), have been online for quite a few years and I seem to have been involved with both of them for almost as long. The websites were designed and developed at Frantic (Opens in new window) by many different hands using WordPress and a number of different technologies along the way. Over the years various tools have been created, including integrations to facilitate donations and an interactive tool for users to peruse the company's history (Opens in new window), just to name a couple.
